DIY Infused Vinegar for cleaning!
Jeanne Frey

So, its no secret that vinegar is ah-mazing to clean with. It's one of my fav natural cleaners actually because its effective and super safe! But man o man is it S-T-I-N-K-Y! And the smell doesn't go away for a while so here are a couple ways to not only help mask the strong scent, but actually pack an even bigger punch when disinfecting and cleaning!
Anything that uses the word "infused" already has my vote ha! Especially water! So this DIY recipe was right up my alley! You can infuse vinegar with a few things such as essential oils, lemon peels, or fresh pine clippings. Today I chose orange and rosemary because this is what I already had in my fridge (I'm all about convenience)!
Orange Infused Cleaning Vinegar
Orange peels are great at cutting thru grease and removing tough stains from surfaces. All you need is a cup of peels (I ate 4 oranges during this session cause they looked too yummy to waste), a mason jar, and vinegar. Add peels to jar then fill with the vinegar. Sit for 12-24 hours before use. Using a funnel, transfer vinegar to spray bottle.
Rosemary Infused Cleaning Vinegar
Rosemary is an awesome antibacterial cleaner that works great on countertops, tabletops, and just about anywhere in your home. For this recipe, youll need 4-8 sprigs of Rosemary, a mason jar, and of course the vinegar. Add Rosemary to jar, fill far up with vinegar, seal, and allow to sit for 12-24 hours. Then funnel it into a spray bottle, and clean away!
Hope you've enjoyed this DIY vinegar cleaning recipe and it inspires you to ditch those chemicals and switch to natural cleaning!

Allergy season can make even a freshly cleaned home feel uncomfortable. Harsh conventional cleaning products often leave behind chemical residues that linger in the air, increasing airborne irritants that may affect people sensitive to dust, pollen, or fragrances. Investing in organic cleaning can slightly raise your home cleaning cost, but it transforms your space into one that feels fresher and cleaner. Let’s take a closer look at how organic cleaning affects indoor air quality and why choosing safer cleaning packages can make a noticeable difference in overall comfort for your household. How Conventional Cleaners Can Aggravate Allergies Many traditional cleaning products rely on strong chemical agents and synthetic fragrances. While they may make surfaces look spotless, they often leave behind residues that linger in the air long after cleaning. When these compounds mix with pollen, dust, or pet dander, they increase the concentration of airborne irritants in your home. Residents of Plano or Fort Worth, TX, can be especially sensitive during seasonal shifts. Poor ventilation or closed windows can trap chemical irritants indoors, making indoor air feel heavier or less fresh during high-pollen periods.
